JOTA/JOTI

52nd Annual Jamboree On The Airways/Jamboree On The Internet

FRI 9 OCT 2009

This year over half a million Scouts and Guides from around the world will make contact with each other, via Jamboree on The Air (JOTA) and Jamboree on The Internet (JOTI) annual event, making it the world's largest scout activity.

These fun and educational initiatives will offer Scouts and Guides the opportunity to experience different cultures, make new friends gain awareness that they belong to a worldwide movement

The JOTA/JOTI is open to scouts of all ages, and is easy to participate in, and there are no registration fees.  Participation in JOTI requires only basic computer knowledge. However participating in JOTA will require assistance from a licensed Amateur Radio Operator. There are around 15,000 of these in Australia, and your operator will provide all the necessary equipment and expertise.

This year's Jamboree on the Air/Internet will be held on 16th-18th October, with Chief Scouts and Chief Guides addresses available for download from 9th October.
